Recently Total Beaty announced that they had boxes with samples for sale – no subscription required. I was among the ones who was not really that intrigued by what they offered. Then LivingSocial happened, and Jen mentioned that they were having a $7 sale on the Winter Boost collection that is normally $15. Well, no way was I going to pass that up. These boxes are not worth much more than $7, except for the one with the vibrator (yes, vibrator). Total Beauty is currently offering the Winter Boost, Resolution Solution, Winter Getaway, and the Bombshell (with the vibrator) boxes. I was going to order Bombshell, but they cannot ship to Alabama, Georgia, Kansas, Mississippi, Texas, and Virginia. What? All the girls in the Deep South can’t masturbate? I’m originally from Texas and now in Virginia. I guess that means I’m screwed. Or… not… as it goes in this case. If you live in an actual liberal, masturbation-happy state, click HERE to order a Total Beauty Box (the rest of them ship everywhere as they don’t contain a vibrator. I’m assuming that’s the only reason it cannot ship to us.)

This is the Ferro Mini Blush X3. Out of all the samples floating around my bedroom I still do not have too much blush. This was a nice, if small, inclusion.

Here’s the real reason I spent $7 bucks on this box. After my Cravebox/JustFab fiasco, I had to redeem myself. I have never bought from Sole Society before, so I knew I was fine ordering this box. Once I saw their fantastic shoes I knew I had to pounce. They have THE MOST gorgeous cobalt shoes going on right now. Cobalt is one of the most handsome colors I have seen in all my life. I am not ordering a pair until next month, and I really hope cobalt is still a “thing” by then. This $20 gift card is offered in all the Total Beauty boxes if you are looking for one yourself.

This is the ALFAPARF Cristalli Liquid Serum. For hair? I think. I’m actually starting to acquire a lot of hair serums, but this is a more useful product than most.

Ipsy sent NYX eyeshadow a couple of months back and I really loved it. This is roll on shimmer for eyes, face, and body. So I don’t know what you guys did as kids, but my 90s were filled with going to the movies and the skating rink. I couldn’t skate at all (even on four wheels), but it was all about spending hours to get ready (read: put on glitter) so that I could impress my latest boy of the week. This is probably a lot more subtle than anything I wore at 12 years old. I tell that story to say, there is never anything wrong with a little shimmer. A lot, however…

I was big on Neutrogena growing up. I used their face wash religiously (even though I didn’t really need to). Now I just use my St. Ives Apricot Scrub in the shower. Since I haven’t used Neutrogena in a while, I am happy to see a product I didn’t know existed by them. I am all for chapsticks that are not harmful to the environment or animals.

Total Beauty Collection “Winter Boost” Grade: B
My Favorite Item From the Box: The Sole Society discount is most useful and most helpful.

Final Answer: Looking at the website this box is missing a few items that are normally included. Since I didn’t pay full price I am not too bummed. As I said, I would have ordered the Bombshell box (despite repeat items) if they shipped to either one of my states. My fiance told me to ship it out of Virginia and I told him I only know people in either Texas or Virginia! Better luck to all of you. This wasn’t a bad box for what I paid, but I wouldn’t pay any more than $7 for it.
